Booking Terms & Conditions

We promise never to over book our accommodation, once your deposit has been paid we guarantee the room for you.

Room Rates

Discounted room rates and special offer are subject to availability. Your room rate will be confirmed at the time of booking, we regret that we cannot change the rate or terms of your stay once a booking has been confirmed.

Payment

A deposit of at least 20% of the value of your booking is required to confirm every booking. The deposit will be credited against your final account.

Accounts can be settled in cash or by credit/debit card. We do not accept cheques on arrival without prior agreement.

Cancellation

Cancellations will only be accepted in writing.

Refunds cannot be made for rooms that are not occupied for the full period that has been booked.

We recommend that you purchase cancellation insurance from a reputable service provider as we do not provide cancellation insurance ourselves.

Cancellation terms for bookings of one to three bedrooms:

Flexible Rate- Deposit Payment of 20% refundable up to 72 hours before arrival. Less than 72 hours prior to arrival – Total cost of booking is payable

Advance Purchase Rate & Special Offers- Total cost of booking is payable at time of booking, non-refundable.

Cancellation terms for bookings of four to ten bedrooms:

Flexible Rate- Deposit Payment of 20% refundable up to 14 days before arrival. Less than 14 days prior to arrival – Total cost of booking is payable

Advance Purchase Rate & Special Offers- Total cost of booking is payable at time of booking, non-refundable.

If, due to circumstances beyond our control, we are forced to cancel your stay, we will refund you deposit in full and make every effort to find you alternative accommodation, however, we cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred by you as a result.

If, due to circumstances beyond our control, we are forced to cut short your stay, we will reimburse you in full for nights not taken and make every effort to find you alternative accommodation. We cannot be held responsible for any further costs incurred by you as a result.

VAT

VAT is included at a current rate and prices are subject to change if VAT rises. The effective rate of VAT is determined by the rate at the time you make payment to us. If VAT rises after you have made a deposit payment on your stay, the balance of your charge will be increased to reflect the increase in the rate of VAT, if the rate is above the rate at the time of booking.

Events

On occasion, The Greyhound hosts wedding and events that may result in some public areas being temporarily unavailable. In such circumstances we will always make every effort to provide alternative facilities. We cannot offer refunds in the event of any facilities or services being temporarily withdrawn.

Maintenance & Improvements

As the The Greyhound is open all year round, you may find that there is necessary maintenance, development or refurbishment work taking place during your visit. We will endeavour to keep any noise and inconvenience to a minimum.

Car parking

Free parking is provided for one car per room. Registration details will be taken at check in. All cars are parked at owners’ risk.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome at The Greyhound on the Test Hotel in all bedrooms with a maximum of two dogs per room, on the understanding they are kept on a lead, are not a nuisance to other guests and that owners clean up after their dogs on the hotel grounds. Dog food is not provided.

Inclusive Dinner, Bed & Breakfast Terms

Guests staying on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis will be dining in the hotel’s restaurant, inclusive terms cannot be transferred to any other dining venue. We cannot offer discounts or refunds for meals not taken. Some items ordered may be subject to a supplementary charge. Dinner inclusive packages are advance purchase only and must be paid in full at the time of booking. All DBB bookings are non refundable and non transferable.

Arrival & Departure

Guest may arrive early and are welcome to use the hotels facilities, but check-in is not until 3.00pm. On your day of departure, please vacate your room by 11.00am. Departing guests are welcome to use the facilities on their day of departure.

Smoking

Smoking is only permitted in the Courtyard area.

Damage

Any damage caused by an individual using the facilities of The Greyhound will be charged to that individual in full.

Children

All children will be booked onto the same accommodation terms as their parents.
